The edge of the national park is 0.5 miles away, with the RSPB Scotland Loch Lomond 5 miles away and the edge of the largest loch in the country 6 miles away.

Spend your time away hiking in the mountains, trying new watersports, or if you’re feeling adventurous, you could mountain bike in the warmer months or ski during winter. Admire the sweeping views from the top of the 974m Ben Lomond (11 miles) and spot the wildlife in the Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre (11.5 miles).

Delve into the area's heritage with a tour of Loch Katherine, The Falkirk Wheel and the Rob Roy Sites (all within 27 miles). St Maha’s Well is 7 miles away, where you can learn the folk tales – it’s said that the ancient holy well has healing qualities.

Seek out the viewpoints where you can enjoy a picnic with expansive vistas of the mountains and wild Scottish countryside – like Duke’s Pass (13.5 miles).

Gem of a cottage. 'Snug' is the ideal word to describe this property, I was 'as a bug' from minutes of arrival. So relaxing, if you are looking for somewhere to chill, you would be hard pushed to find somewhere better.
