This delightful holiday cottage is set within the grounds of a working organic farm on the Scottish Borders. It’s a lovely place to relax and unwind amidst the tranquillity of the countryside and there are plenty of walking routes to follow in the area as well as abundant wildlife to look out for. Guests will enjoy sublime views over the Eden and Tweed Valleys to the Cheviot Hills beyond. The market town of Kelso is just under 3 miles away with a great range of shops to browse and cafes and restaurants to visit. Floors Castle is just a couple of miles away and makes for an interesting day trip.
The cottage is laid out all on one level and is ideal for a family or a few friends to enjoy a relaxing break in the countryside. This holiday home sits in an elevated position and the open-plan living area is orientated to the south. French doors in the lounge area and the window in the kitchen both look out across glorious countryside. There’s cushy seating gathered around a wood burner, a charming dining table and a compact kitchen. Both of the bedrooms are serene and welcoming with wooden floors throughout. The master bedroom has a double sleigh bed and its own en-suite shower room, while the second bedroom is a lovely twin, and there is an additional modern wet room with a heated towel rail.
Outside, guests will enjoy uninterrupted views over the farm and the surrounding countryside from the south-facing patio. Directly outside is a deck and patio area with garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ. This is a wonderful place to spend time on sunny days, be it sipping your morning coffee, relaxing with a book or cooking on the BBQ. There are also steps down alongside some pretty flowerbeds to a lower-level lawn that is ideal for picnics.
