Set in the quiet hamlet of Redpath and surrounded by undulating countryside, this traditional semi-detached cottage is perfect for a family or group of friends yearning for a relaxing holiday in the Scottish Borders. The cottage’s proximity to Melrose and Earlston (within 5 miles), as well as River Tweed, the River Leader and the Eildon Hills means a wealth of cultural, historical and natural attractions is within easy reach.

A couple of points. The cottage was perishing cold on arrival and with a 6 hour changeover time that was unnecessary. We have never arrived at Coastal Retreat and been so cold. The fire was a problem too as no firelighters were there and no means of chopping wood outside. Equipment was good but non stick pans would be a bonus please. It is a beautRead moreiful cottage and the art and artefacts are amazing. We have booked again for the end of September Hide

We had a wonderful fortnight autumn break at 'Tweedswood' for the third time. The cottage is well equipped, clean and comfortable. It is in a friendly village setting surrounded by lovely countryside with lots of interesting places to visit and explore. Although we are pensioners, the back garden would be wonderful for children with a fort and swinRead moregs. We couldn't use the garden furniture to sit out as it was too cold in November. We would readily recommend this cottage. Hide
