Nestled in a peaceful rural location on the outskirts of the popular historic marketing town of Dumfries, this semi-detached cottage sits within a courtyard setting. The town offers excellent shopping and leisure facilities and is home to a number of good restaurants and friendly country pubs. Located close to the magnificent Solway Firth coastline spanning over 200 miles of spectacular coastline with splendid sandy beaches to enjoy. The immediate area also offers excellent walking, hiking and cycling routes with the Maidenbower walk, right on your door step and the famous Seven Stanes mountain bike trail close at hand. There are many attractions of scenic and historical interest within easy reach, including Caerlaverock, Threave and Drumlanrig Castles, Robert Burns House, Aviation museum, numerous golf courses and wildlife reserves.

Craigs farmhouse cottage is amazing, everything was perfect, the cottage, the location. Nancy and Gus the owners live next door but, give you complete privacy, the hot tub was an extra bonus and beautifully set up, again with complete privacy, robes and towels were provided, complete luxury ....

This was a birthday weekend away for my wife and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The fire in the main living room was lovely and made for a cosy couple of nights. In a good location for some relaxing walks through the countryside too.

The cottage is comfortable and very cozy, the relaxing hot tub is well looked after and private. The property itself was very clean and had modern decoration. Close to all amenities but quiet and out of the way from busy town. Would definitely recommend.

The cottage was really well placed to Dumfries and the surrounding area with plenty of thing to see and do plus that added bonus it was dog friendly with two good pubs just minutes away The jolly Harvester & Lockhart's Farm that allowed them to sit with you

We had a lovely week at Craigs Cottages. The owners were available if we had ever needed them (we didn't) but always unobtrusive. Nancy and Gus were wonderful hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was spotless and well equipped with everything provided.

Excellent cottage, very comfortable. The hot tub is the 'icing on an lovely cake'. On the outskirts of Dumfries but in the countryside. Good location for touring the Dumfries and Galloway region, including Dunlanrig castle, Kirkcudbright and the Kippford shell beach.

A charming comfortable cottage in a good location. Everything provided was high quality including a very welcoming hot tub. The cottage is located on the edge of a large town so is not a rural location but that does not affect its rural appearance.

As we have friends in the area this was a great place to stay. It also is an ideal place to be based to explore the area from. Lots of lovely walks in the area for the dog.
