Magnificent semi-detached property, near Aberdeen, with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside; perfect for all the family with four bedrooms and inviting shared garden space.

Nestled in the midst of a peaceful and tranquil setting on a large private estate, this unique semi-detached period property is located only seven miles from the historical town of Banchory and eleven miles from the vibrant city of Aberdeen, with its excellent shopping and leisure facilities. Walking enthusiasts will have easy access to Crathes, Drum and Dunnottar as it is on Scotland’s castle trail, as well as Durris Forest with a range of hills, mountain ranges and country tracks to explore nearby, perfect for the chance to mountain bike. There are also opportunities for sea trout and salmon fishing at the River Dee, and golfers are spoilt for choice with plenty of famous courses close by.

With the accommodation arranged over four floors, this property has all the facilities that may be needed. On entering the property on the ground floor, you will find a spacious entrance hall with plenty storage for outdoor clothing. The kitchen/diner is accessed by stairs down to lower ground floor level, it is well-equipped with electric AGA-style oven and hob, additional electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and TV/DVD. The dining area provides amble seating for you to enjoy your meals. Leading up the characterful stone spiral staircase to first floor to the lounge with a wood burner (first basket of logs included), evoking a cosy feel, and TV/DVD. From the lounge, the study creates the perfect place for some quiet time or reading. There is also a shower room with shower and WC on this floor. Continue up to the second floor there is one super-king-size bedroom with separate dressing room with wardrobe and cot. A bathroom with roll top bath, shower over and WC. Moving up to the third floor, you will find two bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin. One further double bed is located on the fourth floor accessed by a narrow stone spiral staircase.

Outside, there is a seating area in amongst the large shared grounds with vast lawn space, including mature gardens, forest and access to River Dee.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

The tower is fantastic we live it and will be back next year. There are lots of alls good for dogs. Tower house was very warm and cozy great holiday

Durris Tower is a fantastic property. Renovated to a very high standard, a luxury holiday retreat. The surrounding area is beautiful with lots to do and see. Great walks, sight seeing and tourist attractions. Great family holiday .

Beautiful, peaceful place. Beds very comfy. Local village of banchory within easy driving distance. No local shops but supermarkets 10 mins away. Would recommend this place for anyone who wants to get away from it all but also wants things nearby to see and do.
