A short drive takes you to the splendour of the Ayrshire coastline or Turnberry golf course, or take a quick drive into the picturesque town of Ayr, with its shops, restaurants and friendly pubs, and there is a public outdoor heating pool in the nearby village of New Cumnock. Also in Ayr is a spa, perfect to fully relax after exploring. This area is also home to Robert Burns, the famous poet. Other nearby attractions include Drumlanrig Castle and Dumfries House. A great base to congregate together with easy access from Gretna Green or Glasgow. Wander along the beautiful beaches or grab a bucket and spade and enjoy the day on the beautiful sandy beaches in Ayrshire. Ideal for wildlife photographers, with a great selection of Scottish wildlife to be seen.
Enter the lodge via the front door into the welcoming hallway with space for coats and walking boots. This leads into an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The kitchen area is well-equipped with electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine. The elegant dining area has seating for everyone, perfect for celebrating that special occasion or a quiet breakfast together. The well-designed lounge area has plenty of comfy recliner seating and family games, making it an ideal spot for relaxing with a quiet book, or cosying up together in front of the wood burner effect electric fire and catching up with friends over a coffee, or to watch a movie on the Smart TV/DVD. You will find three double bedrooms, one of which has access to the Jack and Jill shower room which is also accessed form the hallway. Completing the property is the bathroom with bath and WC.
Outside is a West facing private decked area with garden furniture, making it perfect for dining alfresco, or relaxing and enjoying the views of the countryside or watching the sun set. There is the opportunity to explore the 75 acres of land, including horses, a retired racehorse, sheep, and an abundance of wildlife. Perhaps take a meander through the fields to the unfenced river and go fishing or take a picnic, or just relax and enjoy the view across the Nithsdale valley. A wildlife lovers paradise with the chase to see wild otters in the river. deer in the fields and an abundance of birds to spot as well. There is private off-road parking next to the property for three cars.
