Ideally situated for exploring the beautiful Scottish Highlands, this traditional and welcoming cottage is perfectly positioned close to a picturesque bay with stunning views.

The pretty fishing port of Lochinver nestles in a lovely picturesque location between the bay and the magnificent mountains of Suilven and Canisp at the heart of Assynt, a stunning area of unspoiled, natural beauty which offers plenty of excellent walking, climbing, mountain biking and angling. Scenic single track roads lead round the coast to Kylesku and to Achiltibuie. There are charming villages and quiet sandy beaches with spectacular views of cliffs, sea and mountains at every turn. Lochinver is also home to a choice of excellent restaurants, craft shops, stores and a pub, all within walking distance from the property.

On entering this traditional cottage which is within walking distance of the village and its beautiful waterfront and working harbour, you will find yourself in the welcoming lounge with an open fire (which is available by prior request), TV and hi-fi, this is an ideal space for relaxing in after a great day exploring the stunning local area. Moving into the kitchen/diner, you will find an ideally situated dining area, and you will find the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you may need during your stay including an electric hob and oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine and microwave. Exploring this charming property further you will find a cosy and comfortable twin bedroom, and there is also a bathroom complete with shower over the bath.

Stepping outside, you can relax and unwind at the end of the day in the delightful enclosed garden which has a pond and a seating area with beautiful views looking out over the village.

Perfect for our purposes. The lack of Wi-fi was not a problem for us as there was good mobile signal with 3 and EE networks.

Situated in the village of Lochinver, the picture is a little misleading as it gives the impression the cottage is secluded and alone rather than on a suburban street. However it's a nice enough little cottage, warm and quiet despite the somewhat extreme weather over the last two weeks. We had an enjoyable holiday, without worrying too much about tRead morehe specifics of the cottage itself. Some guests will find the lack of mobile reception or any internet access a drawback. Hide

A cosy and rather comfortable cottage with parking next to the property and just five minutes by foot away from the small village with its few pubs and shops. Very relaxing!
