This Scottish log cabin boasts the most fantastic views across Loch Earn with the towering Ben Vorlich in the distance, and with a hotel/restaurant on the doorstep too it's a pretty perfect place to be.

The cabin enjoys beautiful loch views from both inside and out in the front garden. The open-plan living space has a lounge area to one end, with comfy leather sofas, an electric fire and a TV/DVD with Netflix and Roku to snuggle up in front of, plus a small dining table in the window. To the other end, a compact kitchen has everything you'll need whether you're planning full evening meals with all the trimmings on the electric oven and hob, or just popping in an easy microwave meal. And on warm summer days, there's a BBQ in the garden too for laid-back dining al fresco. The washing machine is a useful addition, particularly if visiting during the wetter months. There's nothing worse than heading back out for more exploring in damp clothes from the previous day's adventures. The modern bathroom has a bath and a shower attachment over it, and at the end of a long day in the fresh air, you'll be thankful for the crisp white sheets in the king-size bedroom to collapse into with a good book. Outside, as well as the garden with seating and a BBQ an enclosed fenced garden area to keep your dogs along with a private parking space.

The cottage we stayed in was very good for what we wanted it for as a couple with a small dog and the view we had of Loch Earn was great. There are suggestions by the owners about local walks etc, one of which we tackled - about a 14 mile round trip and other days we went further afield.
