Traditional log house located in a peaceful oasis on the edge of the Pentland Hills. The lodge stands in a secluded 1 acre garden backing onto meadows and has use of a 6 person arctic spa hot tub.

This traditional log house has lots of charm and character and is finished with a bright, stylish interior and attractive comfortable furnishings.  Located in a peaceful oasis on the edge of the Pentland Hills, the lodge stands in a secluded 1 acre garden backing onto meadows. The spectacular 'Falls of Clyde', New Lanark World Heritage Village, horseriding, fishing, cycling, golf and hill-walking are all easily accessible. Day trips are possible to Edinburgh, the Scottish Borders, Glasgow, Stirling and The Trossachs. The picturesque and historic market town of Biggar is 4 miles away with shops, pubs and restaurants. Leisure facilities: 6 person arctic spa hot tub. Play facilities: outdoor children's play equipment. (Care is required with young children as there is a pond and stream.)

Entering this traditional wooden lodge you walk into the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with log effect fire, TV, DVD, CD player and PlayStation 3. The kitchen area has a gas hob, electric cooker, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher and microwave.   Heading through the hallway you will find three bedrooms, two double bedrooms and 1 twin they all offer homely touches and a place to relax and unwind. The bathroom has a Jacuzzi bath to sit back and relax in and a shower over the bath.

The large decking area and south facing covered veranda with seating which allows guests to enjoy al fresco dining in tranquil scenic surroundings. There is a private hot tub which is charged at £70 per week or £50 for a short break, payable directly to the owner.  Ample private parking for 4 to 5 cars.

Please be aware that there is some work being carried out on the lodge mid-week between the 4th October 2019 - 4th November 2019.  There will be no work or disruption caused over the weekend of your stay, but we would like to make you aware that there may be some evidence of this work to the rear of the lodge but this should not impinge on the enjoyment of your stay. 

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We had such a wonderful time, lots to see and do . The garden was just divine. I hated the fake flowers and greenery within the house, they did nothing for it and were really dusty. Also cobwebs in kitchen. Owner decided to mow the lawn and water the flowers while we were in. I expected her to maybe check that it was an ok time to come and do it, bRead moreut she didnt. I would have expected her to do it while we were out. I feel all beds should be made up, regardless of home many ppl staying. Hide

i loved the setting and it was very peaceful. this was a baby shower break and all the girls loved the setting. i personally would come back with my husband for a relaxing break. the owners are close by but are not intrusive .

We were a party of 4 females friends & the cottage had everything we needed for our stay. Cottage is lovely & has a homely feel to it. From the minute we arrived till we left we all felt at home & very relaxed. Gorgeous settings & wonderful views. Cottage was lovely - in a great location - not many amenities nearby but only 10/15 minutes from Biggar where you could find most of what you need. We were looking for a quiet relaxing break and that is what we got - we particularly enjoyed the hot tub. There was a great selection of DVDs though not particularly up to date and although there was a Read morePlayStation there were no games for it so would need to take own. The lodge is well appointed & is only a 5 minute drive from fantastic village of Biggar. If I had one complaint all 4 local taxi companies seemed unprepared to pick us up & take us in to Biggar, on a positive note the Taj Mahal Indian do deliver a wonderful curry (big portions).
