Single-storey property offering comfortable accommodation for four guests, located in the village of Scone, just a short distance from Scone Palace, and two miles from the city of Perth.

This property enjoys a fantastic location in the village of Scone, a busy little place with a range of shops and pubs, which is most famous for its proximity to its namesake Scone Palace, the site of the coronation of Scotland’s kings. The palace is a wonderful place to spend a day, with the palace itself being open to visitors, as well as offering extensive gardens, wooded grounds, an adventure playground, and a fun maze. Crossing the River Tay, Perth is a vibrant city, which is not only great for shopping, but also has a number of museums and places of interest including Perth Museum and Art Gallery, Balhousie Castle, and a gallery dedicated to the work of local artist John Fergusson.

Stepping inside this single-storey property, guests come first to the light and airy lounge with its choice of comfortable seating, fireplace with warming wood burner, and a TV/DVD. A door leads through to the kitchen/diner where guests will find a dining table at one end and all the equipment they will need to prepare their favourite meals at the other, including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and washing machine. Both of the property’s bedrooms are double rooms, each offering a peaceful place to rest and plenty of space for storing clothes. The bathroom, meanwhile, offers the best of both worlds with a bath, separate shower, and WC. Guests should be aware that although the property is based on one floor, it is, unfortunately, not suitable for wheelchair users, due to the narrow doorways.

Outside, the property benefits from a two-part garden, boasting a patio seating area which has garden furniture and a BBQ provided, making it ideal for enjoying alfresco meals during the warmer months of the year. There is roadside parking available just outside the property.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

  • 2 double bedrooms
  • Bathroom with bath, shower, and WC
  • TV/DVD
  • Wi-Fi included
  • Wood burner with first basket of logs provided, with further available to purchase at the cost of £7 per 2 fires
  • Oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and washing machine
  • Electric, and heating included
  • 2 dogs by arrangement
  • Roadside parking
  • Pubs and shops within walking distance
  • City of Perth - 2miles
  • Any property identified with increased accessibility may have different levels of provision, it is therefore advisable you contact us before you book to ensure the property meets your specific needs and requirements. The property is not suitable for wheelchair users due to narrow doors.

We broke our journey up at Stokesley to visit a friend, which meant we had an easier journey the next day. First impressions of the cottage were a definite wow! So clean, tidy and well presented and we felt at home straight away. Everything we needed was there, and more. Perfect cottage for a lovely break. Our only problem, we would have prefered to eat out but unless you drive back into the city there are hardly any nice places to eat local. The pub on the corner was BAD - no staff and a very limited menu. Also the internet was almost non existent!.
