For example, the short woodland walk from Evanton to Black Rock Gorge which featured in a Harry Potter film or perhaps the woodland climb up to Fyrish Monument to admire the views (8 miles). There are some lovely walks along the coast of the Cromarty Firth and this is also popular with cyclists who make use of the Cromarty Ferry to create a 60-mile circular route. For ambitious hikers, bag yourself a Munro at Ben Wyvis (7.5 miles), which is a popular route with a relatively easy ascent.

There are also plenty of picturesque golf courses within 20 miles of the property. As I said to Elizabeth, the owner, we were blown away by the property. Even jokingly said if she ever wanted to sell it to think about us. It was beautiful, the pictures didn't do it justice. The views were breathtaking. It was located perfectly. Away from everyone, up in the hills, but still convenient enough to get to the local supermarket in lesRead mores than 20 mins. Actually we had a day where we just chilled at the house and walked around the garden and hillside. So incredibly perfect. Hide
