The cottage was lovely. Clean and well looked after. The own made us a beautiful lemon drizzle cake for our arrival, which went down a treat. The hot tub was a lovely treat and is well looked after and checked daily. Excellent cottage with all the mod cons. Barbara baked us a cake to welcome us which was lovely. Would definitely recommend as it is in easy reach of Dumfries, Lockerbie, Moffat, Castle Douglas, Annan and Gretna Green. It is opposite a pub and Thai restaurant and there is a gin distillery 10 minutes walk away.

A lovely little cottage. Very well equipped. The welcome from Barbara was very warm and friendly and the Lemon Drizzle cake was delicious. Any queries or problems, which were few, were dealt with immediately. The pub and restaurant across the road has a very friendly atmosphere and the Thai food is extremely good. We were blessed with extremely gooRead mored weather which, of course, added to the enjoyment, but Smithy Cottage would be a great experience in any weather. Hide
