Escape with a group of seven friends or family members to this stunning and spacious home, complete with a warming wood burner and a bubbling private hot tub. Nestled in a pretty village on the slopes of the Cairngorms and with walking and cycling routes winding from the front door, there is plenty to please every guest.

This beautiful stone and brick home has plenty of space for all guests to enjoy spending quality time together, or having some well-deserved rest in this peaceful and tranquil location. The property is designed with soft neutral tones throughout and is bright and airy, creating a homely environment.

Head inside through the front door situated off the village’s Main Street and find yourself in a spacious hall where you can hang up coats and place your walking boots. Down the hallway is a contemporary kitchen which has a large breakfast bar and everything you need to prepare and create culinary delights. Tuck into the tasty meals together, or play games of an evening in the welcoming dining room which has a separate oak dining table with enough seating for all guests. Get cosy in the evenings on the comfortable lounge sofas and warm up in front of the wood burner. There is also a handy utility room on this floor to keep those walking clothes clean and dry.

Upstairs are the four wonderful bedrooms, each of which are light, bright, and super comfortable, providing a perfect place to get some shut-eye at the end of a busy day. Choose from two super-king bedrooms, a single bedroom or a twin room. The twin has a useful en-suite shower room and the other bedrooms share a family bathroom. Also up here is a snug area equipped with a Smart TV, handy for the kids of the group to have somewhere to play.

Outside is a large and enclosed garden surrounded by a stone brick wall. Sit on  the garden furniture while you admire the far-reaching countryside and mountain views across the undulating countryside.

Situated on the River Avon, Tomintoul is a quaint village with some lovely independent shops, village store, pubs, restaurants and a tearoom. Head off on foot or cycle and join one of the wonderful routes available right from the front door. Take a waterside stroll along the Glen Avon or try something more challenging and bag a Munro, with plenty of peaks to choose from in the Cairngorms National Park.

Head 7 miles to Lecht where, in winter, you can enjoy skiing at the ski centre and its 20 maintained ski routes. In summer, it is fabulous for mountain biking with trails suitable for everyone from beginners to advanced bikers. 25 miles from the property is the superb Loch Morlich where you can take part in a variety of water sports such as paddleboarding and kayaking.

Keen whisky lovers can enjoy the only Whisky Trail in the world, which takes in seven world-famous distilleries located in the Speyside region. Glenlivet Distillery is only 6 miles from here and has some wonderful tours and tasting sessions year-round.

For days exploring quirky shops and eateries, visit Grantown-on-Spey (13.5 miles) or the tourist town of Aviemore (27 miles) which offers beautiful scenery and a range of attractions to keep you occupied.

The Cottage is great, lots of space, the kitchen is the hub of the house it's big with lots of storage and everything needed to make delicious meals. There is a separate dining room downstairs also a cosy lounge. The bedrooms are comfortable with plenty of storage, two bathrooms upstairs and a snug with sofa and tv is good for the children or for aRead more little bit of quiet time. We had a really lovely time, the house was perfect for our needs. The garden was a good size and enclosed, house very clean. Lovely village with nice pubs and well stocked local shop. House had everything we needed, very comfy beds. Would highly recommend and definitely stay there again.

Super enclosed garden for the dog. Loved the log burner and the big kitchen. We tended to eat in the kitchen but there was a large dinning room.

We were a party of 6 adults 1 child 1 baby 1 dog , on arrival the cottage was spotless , the cottage had enough room and more for all of us , the kitchen has all the equipment of a modern kitchen , the bedrooms plenty of storage , as do the bathrooms , the garden is fantastic , the hot tub was amazing , The welcome pack was appreciated , Dish towelRead mores , toilet rolls , soap, ect.... Beautiful warm cottage. Tomintoul was a pleasant surprise although a little remote. Plenty of things to do.

Had a great week with my family and dog. We all loved the cottage which was so clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The hot tub was an added bonus. Location was perfect with so many good walks and many nice places within an hours drive
